Born in Paris, Arghaël developed an early passion for cinema and visual arts, which led him to study film and art history in Paris. After spending 2 years in New York to hone his skills, Arghaël was hired by Duboi, one of the leading Visual Effects companies in Europe at the time. His editing work on music videos and commercials rapidly won him recognition among his peers, and he began directing commercials where light and color had a significant role. It wasn’t long before prestigious clients such as Dior, Cartier, Rolex, and international beauty brands began trusted his director’s vision.
Arghaël’s film for Lanvin, which captured the world of renowned Alber Elba, proved an artistic turning point after it screened at the New York Fashion Awards (CFDA). His career was launched in the USA, Europe, and Asia with commercials reflecting his love for the demanding world of Luxury and Beauty. Arghaël’s aesthetics are clearly elegant yet sensuous, while his organic approach is palpable through bold imagery. Combined with a sharp sense for storytelling, his films are emotional journeys and universal stories to be shared. Blending art and advertising is his trademark.
In between films Arghaël paints and draws with live models for art galleries throughout Paris and Los Angeles. In 2016 he was selected by Art Share, Downtown Los Angeles to show his drawings at their “Shades of Winter” exhibition. That same year, the Paris Loo & Lou Gallery exhibited his art work: RAW. Its success prompted his second exhibition in 2017: SKIN(S).
